What can I do?

The good news is that everyone can do their part to fight for clean air:

  • Increase your community’s environmental literacy.
    • Be an informed activist and get the word out. Advocate cutting air pollution and share information on sustainable practices.
  • Support air quality regulations.
    • Reduce the causes of air pollution – contact your representatives and support policies and regulations aimed at reducing industrial emissions and improving air quality standards.
  • Be energy conscious.
    • At home, turn off lights, appliances, and electronics when not in use to conserve energy and reduce emissions. And support energy-conscious businesses in your community.
  • Use public transportation, carpool, bike, and walk for short distances.
    • Choose energy-saving strategies to reduce the number of individual vehicles on the road.
  • Join the movement!
    • Knowing what’s in the air we breathe helps us protect ourselves and stop pollution at its source. Become an air quality data contributor.
