New Edition technology

IQAir New Edition technology makes the GC and GCX Series more powerful than ever. New Edition systems deliver up to 21% more clean air, 20% longer filter life, and 32% less sound across all fan speeds with the most powerful fan ever used in a commercial stand-alone air purifier as well as new pleating patterns and other technological advances that increase airflow and filter life.

New Edition fan

Three-dimensionally optimized fan design features state-of-the-art aerodynamics to convert energy into more air and less noise and uses the highest quality fan motor available. With a 780 cfm (1325 m³/h) rating at 2750 rpm (without filters), each fan is individually balanced and uses steel ball bearings, outlasting other fans by years. The fan is suspended in a housing unit that isolates the fan from the housing with eight shock absorbers to further reduce noise.

3D UltraSeal

The efficiency stated for most air cleaners is purely theoretical. Internal leakage drastically reduces the actual efficiency of most air cleaners. IQAir systems feature patented triple sealing technology, with filter media that’s 100 percent sealed in the filter. 3D UltraSeal ensures perfect knife-edge-in-groove sealing between filter frame and housing. Individual seals on each housing module ensure an airtight housing.

Easy filter replacement

Changing filters is easy thanks to a unique modular tower design that snaps open to allow access to all the system filters in mere seconds. Simply release the locking arms and slide the filters out of the frame without special tools or complicated processes. Color-coded lights on the control panel also make it easy to know when each of the filters needs replacing.

Anti-Tampering Kit

To protect your GCX from unauthorized access, each GCX Series air purifier includes two anti-tampering fixtures to help prevent unauthorized alteration of the system. First, an arm-locking fixture prevents unauthorized access to system filters. Then, a power cable inlet fixture prevents unauthorized unplugging. Each GCX ships with a simple IQAir Tool Pack, and all you need is a flat-head screwdriver.

Energy efficient

GC and GCX Series air purifiers are so efficient that they need no more electricity than a light bulb. At the very heart of this air purifier is the ultra-efficient, centrifugal, high performance IQAir New Edition fan and its maintenance-free motor. This mechanical powerhouse delivers up to 780 cubic feet of air per minute (without filters) while requiring as few as 27 watts of power at the lowest speed and up to a maximum of 215 watts at the highest speed.
