As of June 18, the Alder Springs Fire is 0% contained (2). Firefighters are actively working to suppress the fire and prevent further spread, with support from air resources and ground crews. The fire, which is believed to be human caused, is estimated to be contained by July 1st.
Are there any evacuation orders or alerts in place?
Oregon Governor Tina Kotek has invoked the Emergency Conflagration Act to provide more resources in containing the fire. She had invoked the act earlier in the summer to counter the ongoing Rowena Fire.
